Betting Site: Toure was a target of racist chants

Yaya Toure’s fans were shocked to learn that the player confirmed being the target of racist chants as Manchester City defeated CSKA Moscow 2-1 in the Russian capital, and betting site services wonder when the abuse will finally come to an end.
Betting site services and pay per head sportsbooks heard chants coming from the home fans as City came from behind to clinch a victory thanks to two goals from Sergio Aguero, boosting their chances of moving from the UEFA Champions League’s Group D.
Toure – a huge favourite with betting shops – admitted that he was disappointed with some fans’ actions, and called on UEFA to take action. Pay per head sportsbooks hope that they do – and hopefully as soon as possible.
“It is quite disappointing when you’re talking about people continuing to do that,” Toure told Sky Sports 2HD. “It is unbelievable and very sad on my part.
“I think UEFA need to do something strong. It would be nice if we could stop that.
“Some of the songs today were quite stupid and I think UEFA have to do the work. Every time we say something it continues, something has to be done to stop it.”
When Toure was asked what action he would like to see the European governing body take, the Ivory Coast international said that stronger punishment was needed in place of the often small fines which have been previously handed out, and betting site services would like to see quick changes in this policy.
“They need to do a lot,” added Toure. “I think UEFA has to be stronger, and hold all the clubs and all the fans that do that (responsible). Maybe they have a stadium ban.
“For me as an African player it is always said to hear something like that and we need to do something about it.”
Price per head services learned that Manuel Pellegrini, City manager, said that he did not hear the chanting, but hopes that action against the offenders will be taken.

“It is a pity that these things happen and I hope that the right measures are taken,” noted Pellegrini.
Pay per head sportsbooks and betting shops know how horrible racism is in the sport, and hope that those who sang those chants get dealt with accordingly.
