Online Betting Shop: Khan has sights set on Mayweather

Amir Khan looks forward to taking on WBC welterweight title-holder Floyd Mayweather, and online betting shops everywhere are very curious to see what could happen if these fighters face each other.

Online betting shops saw that last weekend, the 26-year-old was in Las Vegas to see Mayweather, 36, extend his record to 44 victories from 44 fights when he defeated Robert Guerrero.

Many people with a betting site suggested that the Bolton fighter could next take on Lamont Peterson or Danny Garcia – boxers responsible for inflicting two of the three losses of his 31-fight career.

But Khan is eager to move up to the 147ib division and take on Mayweather , who is widely regarded by many online betting shops as being the world’s best pound-for-pound boxer.

In a series of posts on Twitter, Khan said: “Mayweather may not be around for long. I want my shot. The worlds talking about the fight. Garcia, Peterson will be around till I’m around for rematches.

“(Zab) Judah caused big problems with speed + movement against Floyd for 12 rds. But Lasted 5 against me styles make fights.

“Garcia + Peterson will be around much longer than Floyd Mayweather in boxing. I will take rematches with both at 147.

“Styles make fights. So you saying u rather see Floyd with another opponent that’s flat footed and slow who he can pick off when he likes?”

After his win over Guerrero, Mayweather said that he want to fight five more times as part of his multi-million dollar contract with TV network Showtime, and many people with a betting site can’t wait to see what will happen when these bouts get underway.

IBF welterweight belt holder Devon Alexander and Mexico’s WBC and WBA light-middleweight champion Saul Alvarez were suggested as being possible opponents for Mayweather.

In world light-welterweight title fights, Khan suffered back-to-back defeats to Peterson and Garcia, but online betting shop services saw that he was able to bounce back with consecutive victories, the latest being a points win over Julio Diaz, former lightweight champion.
