Cristian Ansaldi, who pay per head agents admire for his abilities on the pitch, would like to permanently stay at Atletico Madrid.
This summer, the 27-year-old Argentine defender who is famous in the football world for his skills in the game, joined the ranks of the La Liga champions from Zenit on a loan that he hopes will last for the whole season, and the player is now competing with Guilherme Siqueira for a starting position.
The player was happy to part ways with Russia, and now he seems to want to make a deal with Atletico so he can stay with the club for a much longer time.
“I needed a change. I spoke to the Coach at Zenit and he told me he was going to give priority in my position to somebody else, although he was still counting on me but not as much,” the player said.
“I understood and told him that as Atletico were interested I would rather go there and fight for a place knowing I was going to a great team.
“My idea is not to return to Russia and if it’s possible I want to stay here because I already feel at home. I’m enjoying the climate, the country, the language…they are small things but very important.”
Bookmakersinc agents remember when the Argentine’s career as a professional got underway at Newell’s Old Boys, but the player ended up leaving the club for Rubin Kazan after he was only able to make 29 appearances in the league.
The defender was with the Tatarstan club for the next five years, and he played in 128 matches for the league before he made a move last summer to Zenit.
The player had a bit of an upsetting time in St Petersburg, but he was able to make a high-profile move to Atletico, and now he’s keen to show the club his abilities on the pitch, hoping to make a permanent move to the Spanish side, and his fans are confident that he’ll make it.
