Bookies: Fury believes that he will send Haye into retirement
By Andrew Scott Wednesday, 7 August 2013 12:59
Tyson Fury and many bookies believe that that David Haye will retire from boxing if he loses their heavyweight grudge fight on September 28.
UK bookmaker services saw that Haye and Fury were locked in verbal swordplay and will have their issues settled at Manchester Arena.
Bookies can see that a lot is at stake for the rivals, with the winner getting closer to a world title shot against either Wladimir or Vitali Klitschko, while the loser falls in the rankings.
Haye hopes to get another shot at one of the Ukrainian brothers after losing to Wladimir in 2011, but Fury vowed to break these ambitions with the fight next month, and price per head sportsbooks can’t wait to see what will happen in the ring.
He told the Daily Star: “After I have sorted him out in the ring, there will be nowhere left for him to go – he will be finished.
“This could well be Haye’s last fight, believe me. But it will be one of many more for Tyson Fury as I head for the world title.
“If anybody can carry that torch for British boxing, then it is me.”
Price per head sportsbooks know that Fury will face his career’s biggest challenge when he takes on Haye, who held world titles at cruiserweight and heavyweight.
With 24 knockouts in 26 wins, the Londoner is a ferocious puncher and a favourite with many bookies and pay per head services, and Fury knows that he has to pass this test if he wants to dethrone one of the Klitschkos.
“After I’ve won this fight, I’ll be looking to get a world title shot with Vitali or Wladimir Klitschko, and that’s why I’m taking this fight.
And UK bookmaker services are eager to see if his words prove to be true.

“It’s a fight for the fans and it gets me closer to fighting a big guy, getting used to having a big guy all over me, so that when it comes to fighting Vitali or Wladimir, it is not going to be a stress.”
Bookies and price per head sportsbooks everywhere are anticipating a very intense fight, and can’t wait to see this battle get underway.
