Bookmakers: Rodriguez believes that Colombia can be dangerous for Brazil

James Rodriguez, in-form forward who’s becoming a huge favourite with bookmakers all over the world, believes that Colombia will be “dangerous” for Brazil in their World Cup quarter-final clash on Friday.
Pay per head sportsbooks services saw that Colombia won four times in four matches at the tournament when they beat Uruguay 2-0 at the Maracana in Saturday’s second-round match, in a performance that left bookmakers amazed.
And sports bookmaker services were impressed to see that Rodriguez continued his exceptional form at the World Cup, as he scored a goal-of-the-tournament contender, opening the scoring and also bagging the second goal soon after the break.
Now bookmakers can’t wait to see the Colombians take on tournament hosts Brazil in Fortaleza on July 4, with a Brazilian side that needed to beat Chile in penalties.
The 22-year-old said: “Obviously, we have to watch Brazil closely.
“They have very good players and they play good football, but they’ll have to watch us closely as well.
“There’s no pressure, we have good players and we can be dangerous. I think it’s going to be a beautiful match.”
And pay per head sportsbooks saw that Rodriguez was humble about his own performance, adding: “I only want to help the team.
“I’m playing at a good level. We’re scoring goals and I’m happy because of that.”
Jose Pekerman, Colombia coach, said that in the long run, Brazil’s struggles against Chile might be used for their benefit, and bookmakers believe that the coach could very well have a point.
“Having come through such a difficult match as Brazil did, it always raises the level of confidence,” he said.
“We know the potential that Brazil have and it will be a great match. They are two countries that interpret football in the same way.
“We’re playing very well as a team and we’re going through a good moment.
“James is scoring important goals, but (Juan) Cuadrado is also playing at a great level, as are the strikers, the wingers, the full-backs. We also have a great goalkeeper (David Ospina).

“But we know the match will be hard and that Brazil have the capacity to cause us problems.”
Price per head and sports bookmaker services believe that Colombia’s next match could prove to be very tense, and can’t wait to see what will happen on the pitch when they take on Brazil.
