Bookmakers: Simeone not interested in Casillas move

Bookmakers learned that Atletico Madrid manager wouldn’t be interested in making a move for Iker Casillas.
Price per head services saw Casillas lose his place in Real Madrid’s starting XI under former manager Jose Mourinho, who turned Diego Lopez into his regular number one.
And bookmakers can see that this campaign the trend continues in the club’s opening two La Liga matches, with new boss Carlo Ancelotti keeping his faith in Lopez.
That led to plenty of speculation amongst many bookmakers that Casillas could leave the Bernabeu in an effort to cement his place in the Spanish side in FIFA’a World Cup in Brazil next year.
But price per head and sports bookmaker services found out that when he spoke ahead of his side’s Supercopa de Espana second leg with Barca, Simeone said that the 32-year-old player will not move across Madrid to the Vicente Calderon.
“(Thibaut) Courtois is our goalie,” the Argentinian stated.
“And we have two other goalkeepers waiting for their chance. So no, we wouldn’t be interested in Iker Casillas.”
Simeone also said that he wants Neymar and Lionel Messi to play for Barca against his team in their game on Wednesday at the Camp Nou.
Sports bookmaker services saw that last week, both teams played out a draw of 1-1 in the first leg in Madrid, but Neymar left the bench to equalise David Villa’s opener, and many bookmakers were concerned to see that the Argentinian only completed 45 minutes due to a thigh injury.
“I hope Messi and Neymar play because that would be a terrific show especially for all of those who will see the match on TV being relaxed in their living room,” he added.

“I think it is best that the best players play. Barcelona have a lot of choices, it will be up to their manager to decide who plays.”
Pay per head services wonder what will eventually happen with Casillas, as they know what a great talent he is, and will continue to follow developments on Messi and Neymar.
