Kell Brook wants to get a ‘second chance’
By Andrew Scott Friday, 13 March 2015 04:49
Kell Brook is looking forward to getting a “second chance” in the sport as he gets ready to have his first clash since an attack in a nightclub where he suffered a stab in his leg, and white label sportsbooks are impressed by the fighter’s determination to return to action after what was a very nasty incident.
The world champion of the IBF welterweights is set to face Jo Jo Dan of Romania at home in Sheffield, in a fight taking place on the 28th of March – only six months following his attack.
The fighter did admit that the way back was a tough one, after he feared that he would never again be able to walk. His fans were also very worried, but saw that his determination to get better paid off – and very well.
The fighter said: “It’s been tough from the night of the attack. I’ve listened to the right people around me.
Will Kell Brook face Juan Manuel Marquez in the summer?

Eddie Hearn, Kell Brook’s promoter, would like to see Juan Manuel Marquez take on the Sheffield man if he’s able to defend his world title in a fight next month, in a clash that bookmaker software services and fans around the world would certainly not mind watching.
Right now, the 28-year-old is getting ready to defend his IBF welterweight title for the first time when he takes on Jo Jo Dan on the 28th of March.
However, Hearn hopes that a win will open the road to a big showdown taking place this year, and he already spoke to Bob Arum – Marquez’s promoter – about a potential fight in Brook’s turf.
“We are in talks. It’s a fight that I would love to make – not just as a promoter but as a huge boxing fan,” said Hearn
Hearn hopes that in the future, Kell Brook will go head-to-head with Juan Manuel Marquez, world-famous Mexican boxing star.
“Juan Manuel Marquez is one of my favourite fighters of all time. I believe a Marquez-Brook fight at Bramall Lane is a massive fight this summer.”
Anthony Joshua eager to face Kevin Johnson

Anthony Joshua’s fans are very excited, as the fighter is getting ready for his return to the ring, saying that he’s looking forward to a clash with Kevin Johnson on the 25th of April in Newcastle, in a bout that online bookmakers believe will be a massive showdown.
This Saturday, Joshua – Olympic gold medal winner – was set to top the bill in London at the O2 Arena, but injury ruled him out.
Joshua’s fans were very worried when they saw that in November, the fighter suffered a fractured back when he last entered the ring, and he had no choice but to suspend the most difficult challenge of his career as a professional against the famous “King Pin” – a fighter that went all the way with Wladimir Klitschko, as well as Tyson Fury.
The heavyweight said that he’ll be ready to hit the ring on the 4th of April in Newcastle, but is firmly looking at a fight against Johnson.
“April 4 is when I’ll be back for a nice warm-up,” he said. “The guy I was supposed to be fighting on January 31 [Kevin Johnson], I’ll be fighting on April 25 at the O2 Arena.
