Next month, Andy Lee will try to clinch the world title, and if he’s able to win it, he’ll take on Billy Joe Saunders or Chris Eubank Jnr in an effort to defend it. Bookmaker software services would really like to see who he will take on next if he beats Korobov.
“There’s a stipulation that if I win that, then my first defence will be the winner of Saunders-Eubank Jnr. But that doesn’t really bother me. My focus is on Korobov”
Peter Quillin left the title empty, and thanks to Adam Booth, his manager and trainer, Lee – who the governing body ranked at fourth place – has the opportunity to win a world title by defeating Martin Murray, domestic rival.
“Quillin vacated, then it was Saunders in line but Billy Joe Saunders had signed for Eubank Jnr, so I got the opportunity,” he said

Lee said that that he’d rather take Korobov in a showdown in Dublin, and both Booth and himself almost secured the fight, but he did acknowledge that Vegas “is not a bad second choice”, something that many fans can agree on.
As Murray faces Gennady Golovkin in their clash in Monte Carlo – where Booth and are Lee are working out – the Irish fighter could well very come out on top and win the world title when he takes on the St Helens man in February.
However, Lee must first know that in order for him to turn into a world champions he will have to be at his very best.
“He was a great amateur – possibly the best amateur in the world from 2005 to 2007,” he said.
“He didn’t medal in the Olympics and turned pro after that and if I am honest, he hasn’t lived up to expectations.
“At times he has, but he hasn’t been as good as people thought he’d be. That said, I know this going to be a tough, tough test so I am not looking beyond December 13th.”
Many fans and bookmaker software services would like to see who Lee’s next opponent will be, and they’re pretty confident that whatever happens in the ring, this clash is set to be very intense.
