Baseball Betting: Ryan Theriot suspended for two games

Ryan-theriotBaseball betting services learned that Ryan Theriot, St. Louis Cardinals shortstop, was given a fine and suspended for two games after making contact with an umpire in the midst of an argument that took place on Sunday.

The ban was appealed by Theriot, and baseball betting services found out that he was in the lineup for the opener of a three-game series on Tuesday night against the New York Mets.

The announcement was made by Joe Garagiola Jr., who is the senior vice president of standards and on-field operations for Major League Baseball, and MLB betting fans have been paying very close attention to what was going on.

Tony La Russa, Cardinals manager, placed Theriot in the batting order before the decision was made to appeal, as learned by baseball betting services.

“I think there was contact made so that’s not surprising, but I think he is going to appeal because it was accidental,” La Russa said.

“I think it was just his cap making contact, which happens sometimes but is not the same as putting your chest or arms on someone.”

Baseball betting services saw that on Sunday, during the sixth inning, Theriot took part in a play at second base that pulled him off the bag, which resulted in a safe call for the runner by Mike Muchlinski, umpire.

Theriot ran to Muchlinski and was pointing at his face while screaming. Theriot ended up making contact with the umpire, who quickly ejected him, and Chris Guccione, first base umpire, had to step in between both of them, and many MLB betting fans have been concerned that the incident would turn out to be more serious.

MLB betting fans all over the world, as well as baseball betting services, know very well that these situations can happen in baseball, and the player’s fans hope that he will return to action as soon as possible without any problems, as his fans would certainly like to see him play again and help the team.
