Allegri laments mistake made against Atletico Madrid

Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus coach, believes that his team paid a very heavy price due to one mistake when they lost 1-0 on Wednesday to Atletico Madrid, in a match that left many fans very disappointed, and now pay per head agents wonder what awaits the Italian side.
The coach suffered his first defeat at the Vicente Calderon, with very patchy goal by Arda Turan that was able to give the hosts all of the three points from what proved to be a very intense match in Group A of the UEFA Champions League.
Juventus went to take on Atletico with a perfect record of six wins made in six matches played so far this season, with not a single goal conceded by the Italian champions.
But many fans saw that in Madrid, things turned out to be much different when they took on Atletico, as a deep cross by Juanfran was converted by Turan after some very unstable defending by Juve – something that is very rare for them.
All of Group A’s four teams are standing on three points after both matches that came after Olympiacos was defeated by Malmo 2-0, and the coach wants to see his team bounce back when they face the Greek champions.
“We paid a high price for one mistake when they scored. They made the most of that chance,” said Allegri.
“It’s a defeat after a good game, a good performance and a game we even controlled for long periods.
“We knew it’d be a tough game, and that one mistake could make the difference.
“Evidently the group is very open after today’s results – Malmo has shown clearly they are no minnows by beating Olympiacos.
“We have three points each, it’s all very open, anything can happen.
“We obviously have good chances to go through, but we need to start by winning our next game.”
Pay per head agents could see that Juve’s fans were not very happy at all with the team’s loss, and hope to see them make a very good comeback when they hit the field again.
