Carlo Ancelotti in thoughtful mood after Real’s loss to Valencia

On Sunday, coach Carlo Ancelotti was in a very thoughtful mood after seeing Valencia beat his Real Madrid side. Pay per head wagering companies could not deny feeling very surprised after the outcome of this match, and can understand if the result gave the Italian something to think about.
The Spanish giants were able to win 22 games in a row, keeping their great form, before they paid a visit to Mestalla, but there they were taken out 2-1 in their first meeting of the year after Valencia did an amazing job on the pitch.
Real were under plenty of pressure throughout the game as the hosts were cheered by their fans at home, and goals scored by Antonio Barragan as well as Nicolas Otamendi were able to overturn an early penalty by Cristiano Ronaldo, giving Nuno Espirito Santo’s players three points, which proved to be very impressive.
The Italian tactician is not panicking at all after he saw his team lose their first game since they lost in September a meeting that many of the team’s fans are not ready to forget anytime soon.
Instead, Ancelotti said that the winning form that Real has is not eternal, and praised Valencia for a great display on Sunday that surprised the football world.
“We had a good game and didn’t deserve to lose … [but] in football, anything can happen,” said Ancelotti, and fans of the sport know this reality all too well.
“It’s a defeat which we eventually had to suffer, but let’s not forget what we’ve achieved already.
“Congratulations to Valencia – they fought hard.”
And many fans also see how the team just wouldn’t back down.
Ancelotti went on to confirm that he will look to play a full-strength side in Wednesday’s Copa del Rey last-16 first leg at neighbours Atletico Madrid.
“We have to put the best possible team out to win on Wednesday,” he added.
“Physically the team have been good. The season is long and we’re well positioned.
“The defeat doesn’t affect us. We’ll put what we’ve done so well behind us.”
Real’s fans were somewhat disappointed by the loss, but many are confident that it’s just a bump on the road, and believe that they will be able to overcome this pickle without a major difficulties. Still, pay per head wagering companies know that the team must be very careful from now on and perhaps increase their game level even more.
