Sam Allardyce, West Ham manager, hopes that the shoulder injury suffered by Diafra Sakho is serious enough for the player to be kept out of action for a while, and price per head agents can see that the coach has a very big reason to be concerned, as the player is a true revelation and a huge asset to the squad.
Sakho’s impressive form continued when he was able to clinch a key second goal in West Ham’s win of 2-1 over Manchester City in the Premier League, in a performance that amazed fans all over the world.
In August, Sakho moved from Metz to West Ham, and on Saturday, the player’s header made it to six consecutive games where he was able to score, putting his talent on the pitch on full display.
But the very talented forward from Senegal had no choice but to pull out in the ending stages after he suffered a shoulder problem – something that left the coach and many fans very worried.
“My biggest problem is that my leading goalscorer came off towards the end today with a shoulder problem,” he said.
And price per head agents can fully understand why Allardyce would be concerned.
“I sincerely hope that [the] damage is not severe and he can recover very quickly.
“Anyone who’s scored six in six – you can ill-afford to lose him. If we lose him it’s going to be a big blow.”
On Saturday, West Ham were in fantastic form when they clinched the victory, and the coach believes that his side deserved a win that will see them move to within a single point of City, the current champions
“We had a terrific performance today – that was the big thing for me, it wasn’t a lucky win, it was a well-deserved victory,” he continued.
“We put Manchester City’s back four to task and they couldn’t hold up. [It is] a massive, massive victory – a great statement for us as a team and a club and we should all be very proud of ourselves.
“Everybody was at their very best and we got a deserved victory that not many people were expecting.”
Sakho’s fans hope that the injury suffered by the player won’t hold him back from action for too long, and know that he must be monitored very closely, but many are very optimistic that he’ll be in great form as soon as possible.
