Xherdan Shaqiri said that Bayern Munich do not have any plans to release him from the club, and pay per head agents don’t see a reason why they would want to, considering his great talent on the pitch.
But the Swiss player, who is admired all over the world for his skills in the game, continues to feel disappointed about not getting enough time on the pitch, and was very clear when he said that he’d rather leave the club and look for better options in the sport.
However, now Shaqiri said that officials from the club told him that his sale was not ready to be sanctioned, which means that he will most likely have no choice but to stay with the club until the end of his contract in 2016.
“I have a contract until 2016 and the club have already told me that they do not want me to go anywhere, so I have to accept that”, said Shaqiri.
“As long as I’m here I’ll give what I can and do my best in training and if I can be handed more starts I’ll be happy. I hope that everyone can see how hungry I am to play football.”
Ever since the 22-year-old arrived at Bayern from FC Basel, the player showed the football world what a promising player he is, but many fans were not very happy at all when they saw that the midfielder couldn’t regularly start for the team.
Pay per head agents saw that this term, Shaqiri already played in the league on five occasions due to all of the injuries that first team players suffered. He was able to start in three of them, and also featured as a substitute in the second-half when his team beat CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
Shaqiri’s fans hope to see the player get more action, as they know how much he can contribute to Bayern. Hopefully his abilities on the pitch continue to improve, so he can show the club what in key asset he can be for them.
