As Antonio Cassano gets ready to make a contribution to AC Milan’s title challenge, Ronaldinho moved closer to joining Gremio, former club, and many fans that like to make a soccer bet are waiting to see what happens.
Ronaldinho, Brazilian forward, ended up leaving Milan’s mid-season training camp in Dubai in order to discuss terms with Gremio, the side where his career started in 1998, as reported by soccer betting sources.
IN 2008, the 30-year-old player joined the ranks of Milan but has been struggling to get back the form that turned him into one of the best players in the world while playing for Barcelona during a five-year spell there, with many of his fans being very willing to make a soccer bet on his team.
“He will arrive in Porto Alegre today in order to negotiate with Gremio, but nothing is decided yet,” his agent Roberto De Assis said.
“If we don’t reach an agreement with a club in Brazil, then he will return to Milan, as he is still a Milan player. We are not ruling anything out.”
Palmeiras and Flamengo also have interest in the two-time FIFA World Player of the Year, according to soccer betting sources.
De Assis ended up leaving the door open for an Italy return, with a reported price tag of 8 million euros that loom as a probable obstacle to any transfer.
“There is a great deal of disappointment and I am sorry that we couldn’t get him back to his best,” Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri told Sky Italia.
“Potentially he is the best in the world. I hoped for a great year from him.”
“Maybe there was a lack of willingness on his part.”
Even though he has given up on Ronaldinho, Allegri puts his trust in new signing Antonio Cassano, who has joined Milan after having been forced out of Sampdoria after a row that took place with the club’s president, and many fans that like to make a soccer bet have been paying attention to what is going on with the player.
“Antonio has not trained for two months, but is working well and will soon be in good shape. He should be ready for Cagliari,” Allegri said.
“We are top of the table and can win the Scudetto, as the club has given me a very strong squad.”
Many of the fans that like to place a soccer bet are keeping their eyes open on developments.
