Soccer Betting: Blackmore believes that nobody will ever equal Ferguson
By Andrew Scott Sunday, 12 May 2013 10:43
Clayton Blackmore, former Manchester United utility man, said that nobody will ever match what Alex Ferguson did for the team, and soccer betting fans believe that it will be very difficult to equal what the Scot was able to do.
Manchester United’s fans, including those who bet soccer, were shocked to learn that on Wednesday the Premier League champions announced that Ferguson would retire at the end of the season, bringing to an end a 27-year trophy-laden spell at the helm.
And fans that follow the club and bet soccer learned that Blackmore, who the 71-year-old brought into the team before making for United 251 appearances, said that nobody will ever be able to equal the Scot.
“It was a big shock for me, you knew it was going to happen one day but I didn’t see it coming, I’d heard a rumour but I think it’s a shock when it happens when the manager’s been in the job for 27 years, you just expect him to be there forever,” he said.
And soccer betting fans everywhere that follow the club were also taken aback by the news.
“It’s the first time I started winning things and I think it was for everyone else as well, we won the FA Cup and then we won the Cup Winners Cup then the Super Cup, League Cup.
“So pretty much everything except the Champions League, I left just before we got into the Champions League but obviously he’s gone on and won that as well. A couple of Champions Leagues, 49 trophies is incredible; it will never be done again.”

David Moyes, Everton manager, was confirmed as Ferguson’s successor on Wednesday on a six-year deal, and soccer betting fans learned that on July 1 he will take over at Old Trafford as manager.
Soccer betting fans all over the world that follow Manchester United know how much Fergie helped his side, and he will be dearly missed.
