Valdes did not turn down chance to train with the Reds

Victor ValdesGoalkeeper Victor Valdes’ agent said that reports of the player turning down an opportunity to train with the Reds are not true, and pay per head agents are wondering what’s really going on.

The 32-year-old who’s very well known in the football world for his talent on the pitch was not able to play since he suffered injured knee ligaments in Barca’s 3-0 win in March over Celta Vigo – in an injury that worried many of fans – and he’s looking to play somewhere else since June, when the deal that he had with the Catalan giants came to an end.

The Spain international was set to play in Ligue 1 and join Monaco after he announced that he would part ways with Campu, but the French side was hesitant to sign the player due to fitness worries.

That seemed to have paved the way for the Reds to sign the player, with ongoing concerns regarding the consistency levels of Simon Mignolet, the team’s first choice, and a favorite with many fans.

British media reports said that a deal with Liverpool fell through because Valdes refused to go on a trial of four days in an effort to show Brendan Rodgers that he’s fit enough to feature for the team, but according to Gines Carvajal, an offer for the player never happened, something that confused many fans, and they’d like to see what’s really going on.

“Liverpool have not offered us the chance to train with them for four days,” he said.

“And we have not rejected the offer, because it is false.

“That proposal was never made to us by Brendan Rodgers nor by Liverpool at any moment.”

Valdes’ fans all over the world still see a very big question mark over the player and his future in the sport, and would really like to see what’s next for him. Developments on Valdes will be very closely followed by pay per head agents, and they hope to see some clarity on this situation as soon as possible.
